WebKatie is committed to making webkatie.comaccessible to as many people as possible, regardless of ability or technology. This statement applies to the entire webkatie.com website.
Conformance status
This website aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2at Level AA. We design and build with semantic HTML, keyboard-first navigation, sufficient colour contrast, and ARIA only where appropriate.
What we do
- Text resizable to 200% without loss of content or function
- Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements
- Alt text on meaningful images; decorative images marked appropriately
- Forms with associated labels and clear error messages
- Sufficient colour contrast (minimum 4.5:1 for body text)
- Responsive layouts that work on mobile, tablet, and desktop
- Respect for
prefers-reduced-motionin animations
Known limitations
We aim for full WCAG 2.2 AA conformance but acknowledge no website is perfect. Known areas we are improving:
- Some third-party embeds (Calendly, Google Maps) may not fully meet AA criteria — we work with their published accessibility statements.
- Some legacy blog images may lack descriptive alt text — being audited.
