WebKatie is a Wix Partner Legend with Wix sites from £1,600.
Wix is a sensible choice for many UK small businesses: you can edit it yourself, hosting is included and it handles bookings, blogs and simple shops well. The hard part is choosing who builds it. This guide explains Wix Partner levels, honest 2026 costs and what to check.
Quick answer: choose a Wix Studio designer with a recognised Partner level, live UK sites you can open and a fixed written quote. Expect to pay from about £1,600 for a properly designed small-business site.
What Wix Partner levels mean
Wix ranks its partners by the work they've delivered through the platform. Higher levels mean more completed client sites. Legend is one of the top levels. A level is not a guarantee of quality, but it does show real experience with the platform.
The three types of Wix designer
1. Marketplace template installers
- Typical budget: £150 – £800
- Good for: a very simple page, fast
- Watch out for: an unchanged template, no SEO setup, little help after launch
2. Freelance and boutique Wix Studio designers
- Typical budget: £1,600 – £8,000
- Good for: service businesses, venues, clinics and creatives who want a distinctive site they can edit
- Watch out for: check they set up SEO basics and train you to edit
3. Agencies that also offer Wix
- Typical budget: £5,000 – £20,000
- Good for: larger organisations that want Wix inside a wider marketing contract
- Watch out for: Wix may not be their specialism
What a Wix Studio site really costs in 2026
| Site | Typical UK range |
|---|---|
| Small business site (3–5 pages) | £1,600 – £3,500 |
| Service business with blog and SEO setup | £3,000 – £5,000 |
| Bookings, memberships or a shop | £4,500 – £8,000 |
Red flags
- No live Wix sites to open
- No mention of page titles, descriptions or Google Search Console
- You won't be shown how to edit your own site
- The domain or Wix account is registered in the designer's name, not yours

My honest recommendation
If you want a site you can update yourself without a developer, Wix Studio is a good choice. Pick a designer with live work you like, and make sure the site and domain are in your name. Book a free call if you'd like to talk it through.
