Uptime monitoring alerts me, usually before you've noticed. Backups are automated and the restore process is tested rather than assumed, so recovery is measured in hours not days. Recovery work is included on Growth and Priority plans; on Essential it's quoted at a discounted rate.

No. Every plan is month-to-month and you can cancel with 30 days' notice. You keep your site, your hosting accounts and your domain — I don't hold any of it hostage. I'd rather earn the renewal each month.

Wix and Shopify include hosting in their own subscriptions, which you own and pay directly — I'll never mark that up. For custom builds I manage the hosting and deployment as part of the plan. Domain renewals I'll remind you about and can manage on your behalf.
