Custom Web Development in Windsorfor businesses that have outgrown templates
Bespoke React applications, client portals and internal CRMs built in Windsor — replacing the spreadsheet sprawl and subscription stack that's slowing your team down. From £5,000.
Projects from £5,000 · Fixed pricing · UK based
There's a point where no template will do. You're re-keying the same client data into three systems, paying for five SaaS subscriptions that half-solve the problem, and your team's real process lives in a spreadsheet only one person understands. That's when custom web development in Windsor stops being a luxury and starts paying for itself.
I build bespoke web applications on React and TypeScript with a Postgres backend, secure authentication, role-based permissions and an admin layer your team can actually operate. Typical Windsor and Thames Valley projects: client portals for professional services firms, quoting and job-tracking tools for trades and construction, booking and membership systems, and lightweight CRMs shaped around one specific workflow rather than a generic sales pipeline.
Every build is fixed-scope and fixed-price in phases, so you're never signing a blank cheque. Phase one is the smallest version that removes your biggest bottleneck — usually live in 6–8 weeks — and we only build phase two once phase one is earning its keep.

What I build for Windsor and Thames Valley businesses
Six custom engagements — all fixed-scope, all built and maintained personally.
Bespoke web applications
Full custom builds when your process genuinely doesn't fit off-the-shelf software: dashboards, workflows, approvals, document generation and reporting.
Custom web appsInternal CRMs
A CRM shaped around how your Windsor business actually sells and delivers — not a generic pipeline you have to bend your team around.
CRM developmentClient portals
Secure logins where clients see their projects, documents, invoices and progress — cutting the email back-and-forth that eats your week.

Berkshire founder with a product idea? A focused MVP built to test the riskiest assumption fast, with a clear route to v2 if it lands.
MVP developmentIntegrations & automation
Connecting accounting, calendars, payments and email so data stops being typed twice. Often the cheapest, highest-return work I do.
Digital strategyEcommerce with custom logic
Selling products but needing bespoke pricing, configurators or trade accounts? Usually Shopify plus a custom layer rather than a full rebuild.

"Phased pricing meant we could start small and prove it worked before spending more. That approach won us over."

Frequently asked questions
How much does custom web development in Windsor cost?+
Phase one of a custom build typically runs £5,000–£12,000 depending on how many user roles and workflows it covers. Larger multi-phase applications with integrations and reporting land between £15,000 and £40,000 over several phases. Every phase is fixed-price, and we agree the phase-one scope in writing before any code is written.
How do I know a custom build is cheaper than SaaS?+
Do the arithmetic on the call. If you're paying £400/month across four tools that still don't talk to each other, that's £4,800 a year forever, plus the staff time spent re-keying data. A £8,000 build that removes three subscriptions and a day of admin a week usually pays back inside 18 months — and if it won't for you, I'll say so and recommend the SaaS stack instead.
What technology do you build on?+
React and TypeScript on the front end, Postgres for data, with secure authentication, row-level security and role-based permissions. Everything is standard, well-documented technology — no proprietary framework that locks you to me. You own the code and the database.
Can it integrate with our accounting software and calendars?+
Yes — that's usually where the fastest wins are. I regularly integrate accounting platforms (including FreeAgent and Xero), Google and Outlook calendars, Stripe for payments, and transactional email. If a tool has a documented API, it can generally be connected.
How long does a custom application take?+
Phase one is typically 6–8 weeks from the end of discovery, delivered in two-week sprints with a working demo at the end of each. Larger applications run 3–6 months across phases. You see progress fortnightly rather than waiting months for a big reveal.
What happens if I want to stop working with you?+
You keep everything: the source code, the repository, the database and the documentation. I'll hand over to your in-house developer or another agency without drama. Retainers are month-to-month with no lock-in — I'd rather you stay because the work is good.
Do you do the design as well as the development?+
Yes. Internal tools are usually where design gets abandoned, which is exactly why staff avoid using them. Your app gets the same design attention as a public website: clear hierarchy, sensible defaults, keyboard-friendly forms and accessible contrast.
Can you take over an existing custom app?+
Sometimes. I'll review the codebase first and give you an honest read: whether it's maintainable, what the risks are, and whether continuing or rebuilding is the better economic choice. I won't take on a codebase I can't support properly.
Do you work with Windsor businesses in person?+
Yes — discovery workshops in particular work far better face to face, and I'm happy to run those at your office anywhere around Windsor, Berkshire, the Thames Valley or London. Sprint reviews are normally remote to keep momentum.
